STALLS MAY BE RESERVED HOWEVER ARE ON A FIRST COME FIRST SERVED BASIS

AND PAYMENT MUST BE INCLUDED WITH STALL RESERVATION.

Payment for Stalls must be made separate from entry fees.   STALL RESERVATION FORM

Forms received after will be subject to a $20.00 late fee.  Entry payment can be made at show registration.

Massey Fair English Horse Show Rules

 1.             Competitors are responsible for knowing all the rules of the competition. Guidelines are available

2.             The English Horse Show Committee reserves the right to postpone the show, limit entries, divide or combine classes, alter and govern all conditions and order of classes.

3.             Events may be cancelled or combined at the discretion of the show committee if there are fewer than five entries per class.

4.             Neither sponsors, nor the organizing committee, nor the Massey Fair Agricultural Society will be held responsible for any damage, injury or loss to persons, horses or property of the exhibitors or the spectators.

5.             All riders must wear an ASTM approved helmet with harness and secure footwear with heel at all times when mounted in the ring as well as on the grounds. Any infraction could mean disqualification. This dress code will be strictly enforced and will be checked by the steward during the show.

6.             All horses must have appropriate English bit and Tack.   This dress code will be strictly enforced and will be checked by the steward during the show.  Riders will not qualify for ribbons if they are showing in tack that is not appropriate for Hunter classes.

7.             Late registration will be subjected to an additional $20.00 Late Registration Fee.

8.             All waivers must be signed before the rider is mounted.

9.             There will be a refund in registration fees ONLY if the event in question has been cancelled.

10.          All competitors must be registered and an ADULT must register those under the age of 18.

11.          Objections must be made in writing and delivered to the Massey Fair Office within 24 hours of the event in question. A fee of $50.00 is required with the written objection, and will be forfeited to the Massey Fair if the objection is not sustained.

12.          It is the rider’s responsibility to be prepared for all the classes. Horses must be ready and available in the collection area when their event is called or the competitor may be disqualified.

13.          The competitor’s number must be visible at all times. The number must be on the rider while the rider is mounted in the holding area or being shown.

14.          Cross entries of Riders between Hunter Divisions is not permitted, the rider may enter the Hack and Jumper Division classes. If the rider is deemed unsafe by the judge, they will be excused from the ring. There are no age restrictions for the competitors. Competitors who compete in the Intro Division are not invited to compete in any other divisions.

15.          Show ring will be available for warm up Saturday from 1:30 P.M. until 5:30 P.M. There will be no cost to enter the ring,  a time limit, and limit to the number of riders and duration of time spent by each rider in the warm up ring will be limited.   Jumps may not be available for warm up in Show ring. Show ring will not be open on Sunday for warm up.  Holding ring will open for warm up at 7:30 A.M.

16.          Hors Concours entries are allowed. Riders competing Hors Concours may not enter the same horse in another division.

17.          Gate Admission is required; Camping is free for competitor’s arriving on or after Friday August 27th, 2010.  Persons arriving Thursday or sooner will be charged a $10.00 camping fee.

18.          Campfires will be permitted, however a permit will be required from the Massey Fair Office.

19.          Ribbons awarded to 6th place.
