Policy and Procedure – Membership

Members of the Massey Agricultural Society reflect upon the integrity of this Society

All members of the Massey Agricultural Society  shall be committed to the objectives of the Society as stated in the Constitution.

All members of the organization shall promote and support its activities.

Any member found to be acting in a manner that is unbecoming and detrimental to this Society, shall be advised that their membership will be placed upon review by the Board of Directors.

Disciplinary action would be

First offence - warning

Second offence - suspension for a period of 3 months from any MAS activity

Third offence - membership revoked and any subsequent membership application shall be voted upon by the general membership and requires a two/thirds majority vote

Any member of this Society who has been charged and fined or sentenced under any authoritative legislation for the neglect or abuse of any animal, livestock, poultry or swine shall have their membership immediately revoked and they shall be suspended from membership for a period of not less than three years.
