CLASS 101
JUNIOR CLASS – 101
Junior class is open to children up to grade 8 (as of June of this year).
Membership Requirements:
1. No membership is required for submissions for School class projects.
2. A Junior Membership is required to enter items from home.
3. If a junior wishes to enter an adult class, an adult membership is required.
CHLDREN’S ENTRY RULES:
1. All work must be done by the exhibitor. Parents are urged to encourage their children in every way, but allow them to do the work themselves.
2. All entries must be the work of the individual and at the appropriate school level.
3. All baking to be on paper plates, and sealed within a plastic baggie.
4. Grades refer to school grades as of June, but students beginning Pre-School in September may also exhibit.
5. Only one entry per person, per class.
6. Regulation entry tags must be attached, written in blue or black ink, with the child’s name. For school entries, the name of the school must be written on the entry tag.
7. A child may enter an item in a more senior age category.
Entry forms are available at the Massey Fair Office, Massey Public Library, Massey Museum, and Town Office.
TEACHERS PLEASE NOTE:
We can take only 3 entries in each section from each class if items are being sent from school.
Children may bring items from home to the Winnifred Mooney Hall on:
Wednesday from 10:00 am - 8:00 pm
And
Thursday from 9:00 am - 11:30 a.m.
NO EXHIBITS WILL BE ACCEPTED AFTER 11:30 AM. THURSDAY!
Judging to begin promptly at 12:00 noon on Thursday.
All exhibits should be removed on Sunday after 4:00 pm.
Exhibits left after 7:00 p.m. may be disposed of, unless prior
PRIZES FOR ALL CATEGORIES IN CLASS 101 WILL BE AS FOLLOWS:
1st. Prize $4.00
2nd Prize $3.00
3rd Prize $2.00
The society will take every precaution under the circumstances to ensure the
safety of articles sent to the exhibition, yet they wish it to be distinctly
understood that the owners themselves must take the risk of exhibiting them,
and should any articles be lost or stolen, the Directors will give all the assistance
in their power toward recovering same, but will not make any payment for the
value thereof.
All junior exhibits are Class # 101.
Judging Standards applied:
1. Exhibits of soiled, defaced or old work will not be judged
2. No prizes will be awarded unless worthy
3. Judging will be based on the following criteria:
General appearance
Quality of Materials
Craftsmanship
Flavor, Taste, and Aroma
Color and Design
Creativity and Workmanship
Please fill in entry tags and forms very carefully.

All baking must be made from scratch except where it is judged for decoration only. RECIPE MUST BE ATTACHED

This junior class is open to anyone up to grade 8 this past June. The junior MUST HAVE HELPED in planting, growing, harvesting, and preparing the exhibit. Exhibits must be displayed on a white paper plate.
